Mt. Vernon, home of George Washington
Today was for touring our Nation's Capitol. We left early at 7:30AM for our GrayLine Tour. The bus picked us up at Cherry Hill Park and transported us to Union Station, the terminal for GrayLine Tours.

At 8:30AM we left with our driver David Cooper who took us around the various spots, including, Old Alexandria, Embassy Row, the National Cathedral, White House, Mt. Vernon, Lincoln Memorial, Viet Nam Memorial, Korean Memorial and of course Union Station.

The tour ended back at Cherry Hill Park at 6:30PM. A very tiring, but interesting day.
Below are photos from Mt. Vernon. Rachel in front of George Washington's original tomb (he was moved later), Charlie in front of the Mural, Rachel in front of the bust of Washington
We visited Christ Church where Washington and Robert E. Lee went to Church. Below is a picture of the pulpit and Charlie sitting in Robert E. Lee's Pew, #41.
These are shots of Rachel in front of the White House, the changing of the guard at Arlington Cemetry, Kennedy's Grave and Charlie in front of the Iwa Jima Memorial.
We certainly enjoyed our tour. Our driver David did a great job of not only showing us the sites, but also keeping us laughing all day.

If you come to Washington, use GrayLine for your tours. They do a great job!!!
