Tellico Plain, TN-Scattered Thunderstorms, High of 83 and 40% chance of rain

Where we are going:

Salem, VA-Variable Clouds with Thunderstorms in the afternoon. Chance of rain 60%, with high of 82.

Before leaving Tellico Plains, I had to remove the entrance door awning. The motor has failed and it is in the OUT position. It had to be removed. I got a friend (Bob from Ocala, FL) that we met to help.

Getting the awning down was not an easy job.

It was a 2 man job. Thank goodness for the new friend I met, Bob from Ocala. He helped me get it down.

The last sights of the Tellico Plains, KOA, the office.

Our trip from Tellico to Salem was extended due to a detour off of I-81 because of an accident. Cost of about 3 hours.

While I drove, Rachel spent her time on the phone...

Our trip from Tellico Plains, TN started about 11:30AM and ended about 10:00PM in Salem, VA. The delay was mainly caused by the accident, but it was pretty countryside and we enjoyed the ride.

We again, for the overnight, stayed in a Wal*Mart parking lot.

Thank goodness for Wal*Mart...
